In the artist's words: This photograph captures the typical moodiness associated with the PNW. I love the dual play of light in this picture. The canopy of trees creates a darkness at the bottom that gradually turns into light as it makes its way to the top, while the dark trees in the foreground contrast with the brightness and airiness of the trees in the background.
